So often we draw a blank about this time a year about what to give those closest to us in our lives. What do you give someone who can buy what they want at any time? While that is a great strategy, we find it super helpful to stay present each month by setting one theme in mind that helps keep our mentality positive and clear in order to continue to support the larger yearly goals.

When starting a new year, the first step that so many forget is to clear the energy, lessons, and intentions from the prior year. This is a critical step for success because energetically we cannot call in new things when our proverbial cup is still full of old energy. Most people set new intentions each year but they don’t cleanse that of the past so oftentimes the universe cannot fill your life again with new blessings because there just isn’t any space. Think of it like that drawer that you keep attempting to stuff new clothes into when you know that it is time to take inventory and donate the things you aren’t wearing.  Creating that space is the first step for success in guiding new manifestations to flourish, so we have set January’s theme as Clarify & Align with clear crystal quartz. 

How do I clarify my intentions & energy to make space for the new? 

One of the easiest ways to clear old stagnant energy or prior intentions is to do a brain dump in your journal. Make a list of all of the things that you want to release and let your pen flow organically until you feel like you have written down at least a word or two about each aspect that you are ready to move on from. You can expand upon this by also making a list of lessons that the past year gave you so you can be less likely to have to relearn those things again in the next year to come, but this step isn’t quite as necessary. 

If you can meditate before or after you create your list, you can open up additional space in your subconscious because your brain will also be able to access it through a theta state instead of the parasympathetic state that we typically operate in.
